Homicide, firearms and intimate violence BCS 2006

This bulletin is one of a series of supplementary volumes that accompany the main 2005/06 crime volume, Crime in England and Wales 2005/2006 (www.homeoffice.gov.uk/rds/pdfs06/hosb1206). It contains chapters on homicides and firearm offences, which contain mostly statistics of crimes recorded by the police. Headline figures for both measures were published in the main 2005/06 crime volume, but these chapters contain underlying detail that has not appeared before. There is also a chapter on intimate violence containing results from the 2005/06 British Crime Survey (BCS) self-completion module on domestic violence, sexual assault and stalking. BCS figures for overall violence and other crime types are reported in the main 2005/06 crime volume.
