The report Oppressed Voices: Understanding the effects of Domestic Violence for South Asian Women in North West Kent. -  found that of the 60 women interviewed, 55%, which is just over half the 60 participants have suffered a form of domestic abuse.  Approximately 40% had not experienced domestic violence and a small minority of 5% was unsure of whether they had.  The report highlights the impact of domestic violence on mental health and the need for services to improve provision to south asian women as the vast majority were unaware of services available to them.
