Report from NSPCC on South Asian Women's Experience of Domestic Abuse

NSPCC Report on South Asian Women, Children and Young People and Domestic Abuse NSPCC Report on South Asian Women, Children and Young People and Domestic Abuse

“I can't tell people what is happening at home” examines the experiences and support needs of South Asian women, children and young people who have experienced domestic abuse, the barriers that deter them from seeking help and the gaps in current service provision.

It draws on the findings from existing literature on the subject as well as interviews with service providers in England and Wales and data from NSPCC helpline services.

The findings of the report point to a need for a more targeted and culturally-appropriate approach to responding to the specific issues and barriers that exist in these communities.
