No excuses for domestic violence No excuses for domestic violence

There are no excuses for domestic violence.  If you are using physical violence or abusing a partner in any other way you must take responsibility for your actions and choose to stop.

Domestic violence is when you are trying to bully and dominate your partner.

For example:

  • To get your way
  • To stop her talking to other men
  • To shut her up
  • To stop her questioning you
  • To win the argument
  • To make her do as you say
  • To stop her leaving you

If you need to talk through your behaviour contact the RESPECT phoneline - 0845 122 8609
