Nottingham DVEC

DVEC is a national and local police eight week enforcement campaign, it has already started and ends at the end of March. The main aim is to improve evidence gathering. To do this the police are attending calls on Friday and Saturday evenings with a CSI car, to take photographs of injuries, the scene, take witness statements. It has been agreed with CPS. Additionally police officers are taking the name of the GP where there are children and making a referral to the local Health Visitor. A report will be available at the May Nottingham CDP domestic violence working group.
