Nottingham City MARAC's

MARAC stands for Multi Agency Risk Assessment Conference and is a specific programme designed to reduce domestic violence

MARAC’s are now recommended by the Home Office for all areas with a high incidence of Domestic Violence.

MARAC’s bring together key agencies on a regular basis (e.g fortnightly) to look at 10 or more pre-selected High Risk DV victims and their families.

Nottingham City MARAC has been running since May 2007 led by Notts Police with support from Women’s Aid Advice Centre. It has an Information Sharing Protocol and a Draft MARAC MAPPA protocol.

Aims of MARAC
