Men Experiencing Domestic Abuse - Good Practice Guidance
A Good Practice Document to help professionals:
- Gain greater understanding about men's experience of domestic violence
- Deal with Disclosures
- Make Referrals
- Interview and offer support to men
The TRI Project at NDVF has developed this resource for professionals that may work with men experiencing abuse. The 36 page resource addresses the issues and needs for gay, heterosexual and bisexual men who experience domestic violence. The information in the resource reflects the issues relevant to services nationwide. There is also a model directory of services using Nottinghamshire as an example to help other Counties develop their own service directory. The resource also incorporates two loose leaf documents as templates for interviewing and taking disclosures.
This Guidance is free to professionals based in Nottinghamshire thanks to funding from Nottingham City and Nottinghamshire County Council.
Cost for agencies not working in Nottinghamshire is £10.00 per pack including postage and packaging. E-mail damian@ndvf.co.uk to order copies.
