Howard League for Penal Reform Research

The research 'Out for Good' encompasses the experiences of 86 young men, and looks primarily at the resettlement needs of young men in prison. It states that the Government initiatives have largely ignored young men in its attempts to cut re-offending. With evidence of violence and abuse in many of the young mens backgrounds it is clear that domestic violence needs to be a priority in terms of public education and awareness. One of the recommendations of the report is that the Government ' should carry out a public education campaign highlighting the problems caused by violence, both in the home and on the streets'. The full report costs £15.00 and may be ordered from the Howard League for Penal reform website. www.howardleague.org
