24 Hour Domestic Violence Help-line
How We Do It
NDVF doesn't work directly with women or men experiencing domestic violence; instead it works with other organisations to help improve policy and practice on domestic violence. This is achieved through multi-agency meetings, policy development, lobbying, awareness campaigns and training. NDVF works closely with Women's Aid and other domestic violence service providers to ensure that policy work is practice based.
NDVF also aims to engage in preventative and proactive work to encourage young people to think critically about healthy relationships and domestic violence. Both the TRI Project and the Impact Project deliver sessions to young people. All of the projects also arrange awareness raising events and publicity drives to bring the issue to public attention. Recent campaigns have included the TRI Project's advertising in Nottingham Forest Football Ground and on buses.
