24 Hour Domestic Violence Help-line

Delegates must have already attended Domestic Violence Awareness Training (modules 1 and 2) before accessing this training.  The training is for agencies of individuals working or living in the Broxtowe area.  The training covers:

• Models and definitions of disability
• Myths and stereotypes of disabled women
• Impact of disability on women's experience of domestic violence
• Issues and blocks to accessing information, advice, support and leaving
• How to locate disability related services and information to assist women in disclosing and leaving abusive relationships
• Awareness of service providers responsibilities
